Home Sweet Home / Revisited

Filed under: Posts — Cometeer @ 08:41:50 am

Monday started off with the moon in her home sign of Cancer. Should've been perfect for entertaining at home and cook-outs since Cancer rules domesticity and the stomach. Emotional tides should be relatively easy to maneuver since there is also a lovely shift of Venus >> moving from Aries into Her Home sign of Taurus. It seems a strange combo - the Bull being ruled by the lady of love, but it's true, Venus rules Taurus and all things appealing to the senses. It'll be three weeks of more yummy food, more pleasurable experiences, hopefully some good lovin' and satisfying shopping. Although, Taurus does tend to have an overboard tendency - simply because the Bull doesn't know when to stop! Taurus - hard to get started - and his brakes are bad!

On Wednesday, the moon enters Leo early in the a.m. which should be good for dealing with authority figures since Luna will be lining up with Saturn and there will undoubtedly be pointed words when Mercury opposes Pluto late that night. But no so late that you won't feel it, the actual transit is at 10:32pm but you'll feel the pulling of mysterious forces all day long. It could feel like someone's keeping something from you, but this aspect brings with it an opportunity to de-code what the universe is trying to tell you. Relying on mere mortals to hand you a message about fate could get you into trouble. Pay attention to your dreams Wednesday, they may be your best clue. Whatever leaves your life right now, let it, but keep your communications in check and see how you feel on Thursday when the Sun and Jupiter help to open up while simultaneously scaling down your perceptions and outlook on certain situations.

There are a lot of shifts happening throughout the week's end. The moon stays in Leo 'til 10:34am PDT Friday and then goes void-of-course 'til 1:17pm. Luckily, this isn't a terribly long void period and happens right around lunch time. Void moons are good for things already in progress but a bad time to go shopping, start any new projects or trying to get people to make commitments you want them to stick to! And that includes yourself!

By 1:17pm PDT, the moon will be in Virgo which is good for getting your desk in order before the end of the week. It'll feel good to come into an organized desk on Monday! Even if you only put things in neat little stacks to make it LOOK neat. Virgo gets the misnomer of being the "tidy" one, but that's not necessarily the case; Virgo puts things in their place, but it's not always a tidy-looking system. This vibe extends throughout most of the weekend, so it's also a good time to get your home in order. Clean up, buy groceries, do laundry, pay bills. Sounds like fun huh? Well, you'll want to get as much as possible done before the big HIT comes on Sunday... But before Sunday's crucial moment, Mercury leaves His Home sign of Gemini and moves into the sign 'representing' home >> Cancer. The personal planets move around a lot this week and Mars of course wants a piece of the action when he is probably thrilled to leave Cancer and move into that fiery sign of Leo the Lion. For the past two months while Mars was in Cancer, Mars, the Warrior has been feeling "kept" and self-protective, so look out! Leo usually doesn't rebel, but with Saturn not far ahead in his path, I'd prep yourselves for battle...just in case. Whatever your personal mission is...express it...accept the limitations surrounding it...and then refuse to quit.

Sunday is the BIG ONE when Venus Squares Saturn at 2:08pm, PDT. I'm sure there must be some way to experience this transit is a positive light, but it's hard, even for an astrologer, not to fret and worry what this will bring. Power plays in romantic relations? Money problems and the TRUTH surrounding your bills and debt? or maybe just a fly in the ointment of the day. Hard to say, but it'll surely leave very little wriggle room and something will undoubtedly have to change; be that the status of your relationship or how you're going to deal with your debt; definitely a bad day for gambling. Saturn makes you see things in a realistic light and Venus is all those sweet things. The best advice I can give is - see what really matters and choose your battles carefully. This CAN be a productive energy especially since Venus just moved back home, but Saturn in Leo demands self-expression and if you've been holding back your opinions about your relationship or checks and balances, or what you really want that you're not getting, now is the time to artfully and efficiently express those opinions. What are your values? What are your limitations? It's time to lay out the cards and see if your values and your actions are living in the same reality.

Gemini Triplettes

Filed under: Posts — Cometeer @ 09:22:54 am

I never thought I would be SO happy to see the Gemini season. Usually, it's too stimulating for my liking but after a month of Taurus, personal values & bullheadedness being the theme for the past month, it's certainly a refresher to enter flirty, quick & silly Gemini. The Sun entered the sign of the twins Sunday night and Mercury lead the way out of earthy territory on Saturday. Gemini is an airy sign, a lot more lighthearted than Taurus which means that conversations should lighten. And since The twins' ruler is Mercury, words will be less murky, however backwards they might exit your mouth. Gemini's almost always in a hurry...to get to the next thing and to gather as much information as possible so he can be the first one "in the know" and show it off by dispensing that information.

Mercury, The Sun and then comes the NEW MOON in Gemini! It's a lot of information being transmitted through this "No" moon. The new moon is dark and cannot be seen but it's a good time for planting seeds, especially in regards to seeing (seeding)things in a new way. Thinking should be WAY outside of the box during this new moon because Mercury and Uranus cause a buzz that has a lot of mental energy which could burn itself out quickly. Mercury's been in the spotlight for a while now -- making hits all last week, so any new ideas or suggestions that came along are infused with a new brilliance; the metaphorical light bulb that points the way out of old viewpoints. The New moon isn't exact until Friday night but the influence of "mind over matter" has a three day window extending from Thursday to Sunday. Chuck the useless data out the window and realize that HOW you think really does shape your reality. And be sure to get your phone and car maintenance accomplished early in the week.

On Monday, Neptune goes retrograde for several months. Neptune, the destroyer and redeemer rules Pisces. While this outer planet is retrograde, the redemption happens on the inside and this turning point could make for a fuzzy day. If you have a moment or two...or three...to daydream, take the opportunity. Morning is a good time for solid conversations while Mercury talks solidly with Saturn, but Neptune stationing conflicts with Saturn's need for structure on such a foggy day. Luckily Mercury can mediate and hopefully keep us from making any detrimental mistakes in detail-oriented tasks.

An Aries moon Mon-Wed gives us firey fuel, but Hasty words and impulsive behavior are risky on Tuesday as Venus and MArs square each other. This is an awkward stance since Venus, a relatively passive planet is wearing the garb of the Warrior while Mars, an aggressive planet is in passive Cancer. Use this time to make changes in your personal relationships at home or at the office or both. This is a workable combo, but flexibility is key.

As Venus is finishing up her sojourn in Aries, she links up with Pluto under a Taurus moon for a power lunch on Thursday. Pluto is power and Venus makes it easier to launch new ideas, especially with the back light of the triplettes (Sun, Mercury, New Moon) in Gemini. Pluto is power and Venus+Pluto=Money. So plant those seeds and grow yourself a magical beanstalk! It may just lead you straight to God, whatever you consider that to be.

Saturday offers the tools needed to put to use the new inspirations from the night before. The Sun sextiles Saturn which means we can focus and get things in order, size things up and get to work on whatever your new idea is becoming. Sunday night looks to be extremely creative while Mercury (what a stage-hog!) has a lengthy conversation with artsy Neptune about how to take our creative selves to the next level.

Now let me tell you a little story about Gemini. Gemini often gets a bad "wrap". Some folks would concur that they are heartbreakers, saying one thing and doing another. Yes, there is a lack of follow-through, but what we all must realize is that Gemini collects the pieces...always searching for information and for his "other" half. In the myth, Castor and Pollux are brothers. One is mortal, the other divine, in a quarrel with another set of twins, CAstor is killed. Pollux, sick with grief, begs Zeus to bring them together again. Zeus doesn't compromise easily, but he decides to allow the twins to take turns being in the upper and lower worlds (Heaven and Earth, respectively) meeting once a day to share what they've learned. But they never again are allowed to live in the same place at the same time - which is WHY - Geminis often seem 'two-faced', but really -- they are looking for their other half and this contributes to their getting bored easily. This week it's as if the twins have morphed into Triplettes and like the divine trinity, this can help our brains fully digest all the interesting information we're getting. GOOD LUCK! Watch for the magician to show up with your personal message, because Gemini moves fast and Mercury the MEssenger is also Mercury the trickster. If you're not paying attention to what - at other times - would seem like coincidence, you could miss your four leaf clover or simply miss the punch line of a very good joke -- which could leave you on a mission - just trying to de-code the punchline of the joke which is meant to be more of a riddle, assisting you in sharing what you are learning. We should all try something new this week and ask yourself (your inner twin) at the end of each day, what new things did you learn today?

BEAUTY LOOMS POST-FULL MOON DOOM & GLOOM

Filed under: Posts — Cometeer @ 11:42:49 pm

Are you still feeling the doom and gloom of the Full, Scorpio moon? Wo-MAn, I am! Even though it was full three nights ago, the Sagittarius moon which followed barely had a chance. I had to look at my own chart and ask, "What the hell is going on?" You should always remember that you have your OWN personal, natal planetary positions which factor into any horoscope you read.

After the Scorpio Full moon and a few dozen nightmares, I gave into the dawn Saturday morning and went to get coffee, filled up my Honda and spent $47, which sucked. On the car radio as I was - yes - DRIVING... to get coffee ...I hear a story from a family who lost their son in "the war". I thought to myself, "We are LITERALLY paying an Arm and a Leg for gas, only it's somebody else's.

Monday night the moon moves into Capricorn, and I never thought I'd be so glad to see that good ole Cap(tain), the Sea-Goat. Usually the Capricorn moon is all about business and work, so hopefully it'll help me work out all this Saturn crap goin' on in my OWN chart. Collectively speaking, Saturn has been in Leo for a little under 1 year and this cold planet will remain in the sign of warmth, romance and creation-by-fire ~ for 1.5 more years. Just an FYI: your play-life may feel less playful in the next year or so. Or not. It's just that FUN is harder to schedule in, if you come by it at all.

Looney-Mooney stays in CAppy 'til Thursday. In the meantime there's a sun-Pluto mix-up on Tuesday (Canada's Census Day) which should shed some light, however restrictive on that full moon which will probably still be bothering us. Pluto (Scorpio's Ruler) gets fed up with Mercury on Tuesday night, but not before MArs has a chance to battle it out with Neptune. Be creative or be angry. It's your choice. Either creative in how you DEAL with life & your own short time here on this planet or artful refinements that could use your attention. Progress CAN be made and truth can be revealed if it's done delicately on Wednesday, but only if you are able to SEE what's wrong and think outside of the box. Pluto TRANSFORMS and He is indifferent to anyone's plight here on earth. He WILL change us, but we have to be willing to LOOK at our own shadow -- and refuse to be spooked!

Thursday looks nicer with Luna in the friendly sign of Aquarius and the sun and Mercury hooking up. Good day for figuring out the riddles that have been plaguing us lately. MAybe an insight about how to use less gas, since Aquarius in always concerned about the future and not afraid to speak up. But with the sun still dragging it's feet through Taurus, there remains a stubbornness about us. Thankfully that big ball of fire moves into Gemini on Sunday, when thinking will become lighter and quick like the air. But right now, it's all about values. HOw much do you value you? How much do you value the future? How much do you value your loved ones? And how much are you willing to pay for gasoline?

My apologies if this doesn't sound chipper, but it's that old devil moon and the bull sitting right outside my front door - and yours...at least until Saturday when Venus kisses Neptune. Take some special time to make your world shine. Venus and Neptune are all about making things...better, so hopefully there's some relief in the not-too-distant future.

All weekend long the moon is in Pisces, which mixes well with Saturday after noon's Venus/Neptune dance. Take a bath and relax. The next four weeks will be busy ones, and ya might want to invest in a bicycle. Sunday would be a good time to shop around for one, since Mercury and the SUn will both have moved into Gemini by then.

My spirituality is being held at bay,
Come what may, come what may,
So here I sit in a periwinkle room
Blaming it all on the Scorpio moon.

One bless-ed prayer I do pray -
Come what may! Come what May!
I'll find my salvation in some vinifera,
Did I hear someone whisper -- Que Sera?

TOKENS for the ride of TRANSFORMATION

Filed under: Posts — Cometeer @ 09:11:11 am

Monday morning could feel tense under a Virgo moon and the backlash of last night's Mercury/Saturn square. A square is difficult to begin with and Saturn doesn't budge. So instead of fighting with him, Mercury was smart - he planted a magical seed in your mind about how to focus on your own future. Virgo's lunation can show you how to work SMARTER not harder. But being in fixed signs (Taurus & Leo respectively) it will not behoove you to stay set in your ways. Wriggle yourself out of outmoded ideas like wriggling out of rope that's been tied around your hands and feet, be it in bed or at work!

But The Virgin's influence only lasts 'til mid morning - so use that time to clean up your desk; do the dishes or clean out your head to find that seed that Mercury planted and then take a long break as the moon is "Void of course" until 6:10pm PDT. **When the moon is in-between signs, it is "Void", somewhat akin to being "Naked". Changing signs is like changing clothes and trying to get too much done -- at least if you want it done right -- during the void time, is like trying to run errands with no clothes on. Something as simple as going to the mailbox could get very, very complicated. So do yourself a favor and keep it simple Monday afternoon. *Hint* The void moon CAN be good for making plans you DON'T want to keep or be held to.

When LUNA moves into LIBRA Monday night, she's wrapped up in her blue kimono. Libra loves beauty and balance but what most people don't realize is that Libra has to first - shake hands with chaos - before she can create a balance. We ALL have every sign in the zodiac in us in one way or another and this moon is usually a respite from the normal emotional tides, but not this time. There's too much in the cosmic line-up this week to feel comfortable for very long.

The highlight of the week, although it doesn't hit exactly until almost midnight on Friday. A FULL MOON in the sign of the Eagle - Scorpio. Some say an unevolved Scorpio is indeed a scorpion but I see the 8th sign as a bird with sight so keen He can spot a rodent in the bushes from 300 yards in the air, scoop down at top speed, grab his snack and what's more? >> the rat will never see him coming. LOOK at your life with a BIRD's eye view and try to grasp the bigger picture, along with what might be weighing you down, keeping you on the ground either as a scorpion or a wounded bird.

This Full moon highlights what is dead in our lives. You really have to dig to get in touch with your own mystery; your own secrets. Luckily, Neptune and the Sun join in, helping us to see things more compassionately. Redeem thyself! Think about the fall when the Sun passes through Scorpio from Oct.22-Nov. 21; this moon is similar to that time period but instead of it lasting for a month, it's only for a few days, but I'd be willing to bet that whatever you don't deal with now will come up again, and much less merciful in October. HOWEVER, if you can do some hard work and make the necessary changes NOW, then that fall time period could usher in rewards for action taken at this time. You want a new life? You longing for that death and rebirth? Well then leave a token for Hades and drop any silly suspicions about others, to the low-flying birds and soar to new heights...seeing what's missing from your life and what you are keen to swoop in on. The time is ripe for change, actual transformation...via truth and imagination. Picture your future, have faith beneath the shadows, and BELIEVE yourself through - this mysterious time.

Besides the full moon on Friday, Mercury is center stage the rest of the week, sending you messages worth listening to. He's linking up with just about everyone. The first meeting is an Opposition to Jupiter at 4:20pm on Thursday: "HOLY TRAFFIC BATMAN!" Mercury rules daily routines and Jupiter blows everything out of proportion, so remember to take deep breaths on the way home that day and think about the BIGGER picture. What gives your life real meaning? Jupiter forces you to see the WHOLE SHA-BANG and then some, but if you're too caught up in the small stuff, losing your temper and such, then you'll miss this great opportunity to see the bigger picture.

Friday morning Mercury co-operates with Uranus and hopefully offers a nice recovery or at the very least some "ZIP!" to the day. Uranus goes 'zing!' So if you're up around 5am Friday, write down any brilliant ideas you may have discovered in your sleep. Uranus is the planet of invention, reinvention and upheaval; a perfect pre-cursor to the annual, Scorpio, full Moon. Here's a motto apropos to Scorpio: You have to kill the lies to get to the truth....dig, dig, dig.

Luckily, the weekend ushers in A Sagittarius moon, PHEW! But here again, the moon is void from the early morning hours until 2pm PDT Saturday afternoon. Take it easy and take in everything that's been given this week with ANY kind of meditation or reflection time. It's not a good time to try to accomplish too much, but if you can hold off til the later afternoon hours, there's a productive aspect between Mercury and Mars, personally - I'd use this time for home improvements since MArs is in Cancer. Or if you feel like writing a really sappy Mother's Day card or going to the grocery to prepare for tomorrow morning, then go for it! The Sagittarius moon usually has a lot of 'bounce-back' but this week has been a lot to handle. If you decide to go out and play, you'll probably play hard and there's really no harm in that...so say Saturday's stars.

Mother's Day, feelings count more than words as Neptune is highlighted in a square to Mercury. The whole day has a kind of constriction to it, quite contrary to the norm of the Sagittarius moon and limitless Neptune doesn't like boundaries. There's a chance for indulgence, so I'll say it again like I've said it before -- don't resort to retail therapy! Look at your life truthfully - and I mean what's true for YOU! Mercury can offer creative ways to get a grip on those things later in the evening. Basically, Mercury doesn't leave you alone all week. He drops clues, gives you riddles to figure out and just keeps your mind going gone...since Neptune (also knows as POSEIDON the Sea God) offers an escape; just try to make it artistic or at the very least creative instead of the tendency toward 'altered states'. It would be a great night to go to the movies.

Neptune rules the slippery unconscious, so if you've been looking for solutions -- pay attention. As it says in The Koran: "Out of water all life comes" so if you're looking for a rebirth, don't avoid or try to escape the changes; it may feel disillusioning but it's well worth it to let the emotions in and ride the tide for a bit.

A good friend once gave me a priceless piece of advice which I believe is a native American saying:

"An Eagle doesn't have to be a Crow."
