This week looks to be rather emotional with a lot of tides shifting – yet again. The planets are always moving, and this week is no exception. Be ready to steal 3rd base but make sure to watch for the coach's signal! Monday (a.k.a. “Moon-day”) gives us that moody, caring & self-protective Cancer vibe. You may want to be comfy and safe at home, but that probably won’t help you deal with this week's astrological line up. And what a line-up it is! You’ll need to keep your wits about you so go easy on the sweets or suffer the consequences of a sugar crash, which is never fun in the midst of a moody, Monday moon. Especially when Jupiter - the planet of spirituality and excess - tempts Venus in the last degrees of beauty-loving, boundary-abolishing Pisces tempts to spend, spend, spend! Do your best to THINK big instead of spending big. A shopping spree would probably only be a compensation for a possibly lopsided spirituality.

Tuesday night, expansive conversations concerning your personal destiny and how it connects with the collective, will be something to treasure. If it starts to go sour; even if its's only with yourself, take a step back, digest what's been delivered and warm up for the big conversation being composed between Faith-infused Jupiter and eccentric Uranus coming up on Thursday. Replays of this heavy-hitting duo will continue to shock you throughout Sunday – very much like the lightning bolt that hit Robert Redford’s home run hit in “The Natural” when the cover was knocked off the ball, leaving the insides exposed and the fans awestruck. Do I hear the distant sound of marching feet leading a revolution or is that literally the Earth moving beneath our feet???

Cancer moodiness is traded in for drama, drama, drama, when Luna enters Leo Wednesday evening. Express yourself and hit away! Have fun while keeping in mind that deep conversations can go a long way while Mercury links up with Pluto early on Wednesday, followed by a somewhat abrupt cosmic shift. Venus, the goddess of love, moves from self-sacrificing Pisces where “All you Need is Love” into the unyielding territory of Aries the warrior. Choose your battles with caution and conviction because romance & love stuff may tend to have a short shelf life during this three week period. Reassurances between loved ones are needed way more than usual.

ON Thursday, if you have a mission in mind, make sure you are aligned and then RE-align any brilliant insights you've recently received. The Sun takes center stage with a double-hit to Uranus and Jupiter – breathing otherworldly life into those new ideas and brilliant brain-storms which promise to expand on the topic; then Jupiter has a not-so-secret meeting with Uranus later that evening. Keep a notebook handy for those bright ideas because they'll come in a flash and be gone just as fast!

On Friday Mercury enters Taurus. The sun has already been in Taurus for a little more than a week. Have you noticed how SLOW people seem? Maybe a little bit tardy? Taurus, the Bull seeks enlightenment, but can be a little lazy about getting off his ass to go out and get it! Taurus teaches us about Values, so if you're're resistant or feel trepidatious about change, Mercury may help you rise above it all. Mercury is the planet of communication but not necessarily the speaking kind. Body language should be well-read. You can trade in hasty words for a more serene tongue. If you have developed a new courage of conviction over the past 8 months on any subject pertaining to your values, stick with it! Hold your ground. But if there is still some shifting to be done, either in relationships or your material world, now is a good time to express those new life priorities and gain clarification. Who & what, does or doesn't fit your life anymore??

Saturday adds some pragmatism to the picture which comes in handy like a much needed bunt to get your runner off first base and on to second or even third. You're headed for a home run on Sunday when the issues brought up by your inner coach find the opportunity to be put to good use...on Sunday when Venus co-operates with Saturn after a week of surprises, insights and crystalizations. If you're feeling like using harsh words, think twice and write out your game plan for the next three weeks when Mercury will enter chatty Gemini. THAT’s when you'll get your chance to speak your mind in a much more receptive light. Simply put, Sunday can be quite productive and even pleasant, but you’ll have to play by the rules because the Umpire ain’t taking any lip!

Why I’m using the baseball analogy is beyond me, except to say it 'tis the season. I leave you with a quote delivered in The Natural by Glen Close to Rober Redford:

Under the Taurus new moon later this week, a lot can shift if you just keep in mind your dearest wish. Monday tests us and if you get fired or dumped, believe you me - it's all for the best. Saturn in Leo (for 2 years) creates some tension for the Sun in Taurus toward the end of the workday Monday. Who's the boss of your life? Is it you or somebody else? What is it you could be doing that would more aptly express who you are? The truer we are to ourselves, the more power we have to change the world. If you already have a specific goal in mind - Monday is prime for growing a stiffer backbone and taking control of one's own life.

By Tuesday, the love, luck and generosity of Last week's feel-good Jupiter Venus link-up will most likely be a thing of the past. So if you're feeling lackluster, just think back to last Thursday - Saturday and count your winnings, tangible or not. Another shade of luck comes in Tuesday with a calm day in the cosmos, but as usual, something is a-brewin'.

Hump day gives us all a spray of fresh ideas with the moon moving swiftly through Aries. Be careful with the details because there's too much opportunity for impulsive behavior leading to sloppy communication. Do your research and listen, listen, listen...not only to what other people are saying, but what you are saying to yourself. Are you listening to yourself & above all -- What Your Body Is Telling You!? Thursday's New Moon is a very fertile time. Fertile for new ideas on how to make money and acquire resources in a way that resonates more with your own, higher, personal values. Your body WILL be talking to you and this is the perfect time to take on that motto "Treat your Body Like Temple" and use it as a barometer to take inventory of your physical and spiritual life. Is the one feeding the other??

If you eat well and Get grounded you'll be glad you did when the weekend rolls around. It's bound to be a hypersensitive few days with Venus, the planet of beauty and values being tested by Pluto - a.k.a. - HADES, the Lord of The Underworld, The Underbelly and the Undoing of all that doesn't work for us on the material level. Luckily, Venus is still in Pisces and since she's exalted there, she's got at least one card up her sleeve giving her the upper hand in this face off. Pluto will call her bluff, so make sure your spiritual self and your physical self are lined up. How would you live your life if you knew that it was all connected...you, me and the rocks of the galaxy?

There is a lot of productive energy throughout the week. Make good use of it when it does come in. With the Taurean Sun, people move slower, but that's only because Taurus wants to be sure before it plants anything anywhere. You may have begun to notice - under the influence of Taurus (which is doubled under the new moon conjunction) things feel more delectable, more sensual, more gratifying and vices are not vices when they serve a higher purpose. Taurus also tests us and with the new moon and the sun in the sign of the Bull, a new door opens for us to pass through and simply avoid the stubbornness and potential laziness of anyone standing in our way. YOUR WAY! No, MY way! Honking, tailgating and bumps require us to be like Buddha and zen our way through this opportune week. Don't just sit on the rock - pick it up and look under it. Pluto may have left you a gift down there with the worms and the water bugs. But you have to be willing to look!

What the hell is going on? If your Monday started off anything like mine, you're wishing you'd stayed inside. Luckily, with the moon in Sagittarius, there's some bounce to the day and I'm hoping that by tomorrow when Venus hooks up with unconventional Uranus - we'll all shake ourselves out of any kind of ruts we may be in. Venus is "exalted" in Pisces and Uranus, well, Uranus will do what he will without warning. There may already be a feeling of excitement creeping in as soon as Monday, even though Venus doesn't get her electroshock therapy until tomorrow morning.

Tuesday, there's a fight brewing while Mercury squares off with Mars. The former in Aries can leave an insensitive scar on others if we're not careful while playing with the fire of our words. Aries is a spitfire and Mars is the warrior's ruler; so the spear is currently in the hands of the crab, getting all his defenses ready in time for the face-off. Crabs bite back and their claws are sharp! Mars in this protective water sign will attack if words (Mercury) seem even remotely like a threat. So if you want to win someone over, BE NICE! Fights won't get us anywhere this week, however unavoidable they may seem.

Thursday there's a little relief when Venus links up with Jupiter. Jupiter's been retrograde (moving backwards) in Scorpio for a month or so which means DON'T GO SHOPPING! Just kidding, but it does suggest the possibility that we could all end up in debt, because Scorpio is "Other People's Money", among other things. Essentially, this can be advantageous. I'm just offering a heads' up about thinking twice on Thursday before making any extravagant purchases. This is the theme for a few months and of course we can't hide inside waiting for Jupiter to flip, but we CAN think twice before diving into a huge dose of Retail Therapy or being overly optimistic in anything resembling a get-rich-quick scheme. Jupiter however, CAN benefit those looking for investors, depending (as always) on your own personal natal chart.

The urge to shop is only strengthened by the sun's annual shift into Taurus, taking place April 20th at 1:26am. Taurus' like to touch, indulge themselves and others, and can often be seen as lazy because it's the Earthy Bull who is slow to move; but we can all learn a lesson and take time out over the next month to sit under a tree, take in the spring air, treat yourself to a day at the spa (but beware of buying too many products!) or just take it easy. Now is the time to learn that we don't have to work so hard ALL the time and that indulgence is not always a vice but a necessary part of life.

Here's another little reminder to be kinder, because Sunday has a tempermental side that could rock your emotional boat, so unless you want your ship to sink - don't throw any darts at your loved ones. Aim for praise instead and realize how far we've come in relating to one another. Insecurities will surely abound this week, but they bring out the truth in all of us and we become stronger by asking (gently) for what we need. What else is there to say but...good luck!

Go easy on yourself if you're feeling restless and irritable Monday. Though the Virgo moon can be productive, she doesn't like to be bothered by trite criticisms. Whether you're at work, home or running errands it's a good day for catching up with yourself - and ignoring everybody else! Kidding, but it does help to work independently under the light of The Virgin who is traditionally called, "One Unto Herself". Throughout the day she gets bumped by a string of aspects from other planets which feels like inconsiderate shoppers at the store, grocery carts bumping into yours at every corner. Forgive and forget. Tuesday there's a breath of fresh air as our Earth's satellite moves into airy Libra readying herself for a delicate balance of fullness Thursday at 9:40am. Prior to that - Wednesday a good day to get centered while also shaking hands with chaos (the necessary Libra motto). Libra isn't necessarily unemotional but doesn't like the sensation that there might be something undetectable lurking below the surface, and there surely will be with this full moon due to Pluto, Mercury and Mars all putting in their two cents!

Mercury has been lingering languidly in Pisces for quite some time and is about to get caught up in one of two shifts this week - tossed out of the Piscean Jacuzzi into fast-forward Aries. The shift isn't until Sunday so if you're working on any poetry or art lately & want to make the most of this creative time, the window is wide open 'til then.

Wow, this sure is a wordy blog - but I can put it on Mars as he chisels away at the last degrees of Gemini, making sure you say everything you have to say -- but PLEASE don't forget to sprinkle your words with tact! Thursday evening after the full moon hits (but still sticks!) the warrior planet moves into Cancer and gears shift yet again. A good time (2 months) for being more productive at home, attending to family matters and all that domestic stuff. Cookin' it up - be it on the counter or...on the counter...(wink-wink) the weekend offers excitement. Pluto and the Sun - the furthest planet out and the closest one, respectively, hook-up and we should all be able to see the deeper meaning that has been hitting us over the head all week. LAstly, Sunday's gregarious moon in Sagittarius offers strength found in new philosophies & insights, probably in regards to relationship improvements.

It's a tough week to navigate but if you can roll with it and shift gears instead of grinding them, you'll come out more powerfully jazzed by understanding the meaning of compromise which doesn't have to mean self-sacrifice. The lesson is: things are not black & white in the "me" vs. "we" department. Pretend you're a butterfly growing a third wing - to reach new heights in your relationships.

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING of a showdown between the heavyweights we can see - and the ones we can't. It's a week all about passion - and keeping a lid on anything you don't want to be punished for or pay a large price tag for! Things will be easiest Monday morning as the moon skips through flirty Gemini, but when luna lines up with Mars at lunch time... the crowd is already riled up for the fight to come later this week! If there's a tiff that seems like more of a power struggle, don't worry - it'll pass quickly. But beware: the same issues touched on now could be only a smidgen of what is to come - good or bad - later this week. Monday night you'll want to be cozy at home, protected from the insecurity issues always possible under the Cancer moon. Tuesday offers a nice flood of optimism and maybe some over-spending on something you probably don't need but just gotta have! Please folks, keep your receipts, because Jupiter doesn't always consider the realities of the moment. Wednesday is the BIG event of the week when Saturn goes direct after over four months of internalizing our life lessons about how to be your own authority, well now's your chance (especially Leos) to show the world who's boss! Meanwhile the same day, lovely lady Venus moves into Pisces, which should offer another wave of relief and possibly A LOT of rain (Pisces = water) which could be nice for couples & cuddling and will surely make DVD-watching more satisfying than usual. Venus in Pisces always makes things seem magically kissed by beauty, which is good for art, love & all that sentimental stuff. Friday: The showdown between sometimes sexy Mars and always shadowy Pluto brings back those issues that came up Monday. Whether it was a crazy make-out session in the copy room or a fight with your boss, Friday's the day it'll come up again, for better or for worse. Luckily, there is a release from bondage as the Aries sun links up with Neptune on Saturday/Sunday. Romance is in the air -- and we could ALL use it by the time the week runs out! Be creative, be romantic, be religious or just BE.
